This is a programme aimed at campaigning for the rights of children and young adults with disabilities and their families. Our activities have extended to five more selected states in Nigeria with follow ups in the five states already visited in 2005. Level of support in the different states depends on needs.

The Programme will take the opportunity to increase information about child development; early detection and actions to be taken; improve on disability awareness and provide needed support services through partnerships with families, relevant professionals, existing local agencies in the field and the general community.

Qualities of a Self Advocate
1. Confidence.
2. Belief in the Cause.
3. Knowledge of constitutional rights, and the law.
